A Fleming–viot Process and Bayesian Nonparametrics
This paper provides a construction of a Fleming–Viot measure valued diffusion process, for which the transition function is known, by extending recent ideas of the Gibbs sampler based Markov processes. In particular, we concentrate on the Chapman–Kolmogorov consistency conditions which allows a simple derivation of such a Fleming–Viot process, once a key and apparently new combinatorial result ...
متن کاملLarge Deviations and Quasi-potential of a Fleming-viot Process
The large deviation principle is established for the Fleming-Viot process with neutral mutation when the process starts from a point on the boundary. Since the diffusion coefficient is degenerate on the boundary, the boundary behavior of the process is investigated in detail. This leads to the explicit identification of the rate function, the quasi-potential, and the structure of the effective ...
متن کاملLarge deviations for the Fleming-Viot process with neutral mutation and selection
Large deviation principles are established for the Fleming-Viot processes with neutral mutation and selection, and the corresponding equilibrium measures as the sampling rate goes to 0. All results are rst proved for the nite allele model, and then generalized, through the projective limit technique, to the innnite allele model. Explicit expressions are obtained for the rate functions.
متن کاملA Reversibility Problem for Fleming-viot Processes
Fleming-Viot processes incorporating mutation and selection are considered. It is well-known that if the mutation factor is of uniform type, the process has a reversible stationary distribution, and it has been an open problem to characterize the class of the processes that have reversible stationary distributions. This paper proves that if a Fleming-Viot process has a reversible stationary dis...
متن کاملPath-properties of the tree-valued Fleming–Viot process
We consider the tree-valued Fleming–Viot process, (Xt)t≥0, with mutation and selection as studied in Depperschmidt, Greven and Pfaffelhuber (2012). This process models the stochastic evolution of the genealogies and (allelic) types under resampling, mutation and selection in the population currently alive in the limit of infinitely large populations. Genealogies and types are described by (isom...
